Diana Degan & Associates is an award-winning, wholly-Canadian, integrated marketing communications firm dedicated to helping clients, whatever their size and budget, achieve their business goals through the effective use of marketing communications tools.
Owned and operated by Diana Degan, the company was started in 2001 as Diana Robinson & Associates to meet the needs of clients looking for senior expertise and accountability on a day-to-day basis at cost-effective rates.
Diana has a background in both marketing and public relations and throughout her 25+ year career, has worked with some of Toronto’s leading integrated marketing and communications agencies. She has worked with more than 125 clients from many industry sectors: education, food & beverage, consumer products, travel, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, non-profit, charity, association, corporate, health and beauty care, retail, fashion, home improvement and financial. Diana has developed and executed national programs, as well as campaigns for the U.S. and international markets. She also worked for one of the country’s first integrated marketing agencies, and spent time on the client side as a corporate communications manager. Her campaigns have won numerous industry awards for writing, marketing communications, social responsibility, and media relations. She was selected as a member of the international Blue Ribbon Panel of judges for the 2013 IABC international Gold Quill Awards.
Diana has a degree in journalism from Ryerson, her Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) and Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner (CAAP) designations, and was the 2009-2010 Vice President of Member Communications for the International Association of Business Communicators’ Toronto chapter (IABC) and the 2002-2003 Vice President of Professional Standards. Diana was also the Chairperson and a judge for the IABC/Toronto industry OVATION awards program from 2001-2003.
Diana is a frequent speaker for The Canadian Institute, Canada’s leading workshop provider. She has spoken on numerous communications topics including Creative Media Relations, Crisis Communication, Issues Management, Performance Evaluation and Measurement and How to Select an Agency. In addition, she has been the chairperson for several conferences and led intensive workshops on Performance Evaluation and Measurement.
Diana’s campaigns have won 36 industry awards for special events, media relations, social responsibility, writing and marketing communications, including 24 in the last five years alone. She has been named the Boutique/Small/Independent Agency of the Year by IABC/Toronto for five years and had her programs named the Best Consumer Promotion in North America for two years running by Dial Corporation. Her programs to launch the fashion lines of singer Beyoncé and Diddy won a total of eight national and international industry awards.
